Glen Akers, PT Glen Akers, PT

Physical Therapist, Owner

Glen Akers, PT is the Clinic Director at our Gresham office. Glen grew up in Gresham, OR and attended Gresham High School graduating in 1996. He attended Oregon State University earning a B.S. in General Science in 2000. Glen continued on to Texas Tech University and obtained a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2003.

Glen enjoys recreational activities such as bicycling and baseball. Glen is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine. His interests include manual therapy and sports rehabilitation.

A little known fact about Glen is that Arizona State University offered him a full Scholarship for singing, but he turned it down to become a physical therapist.

Alissa Gjelten, PT, DPT Alissa Gjelten, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Alissa Gjelten, PT, DPT was raised in the in the town of Chehalis, Washington and spent her undergrad at University of Portland where she majored in Life Science. She attended Pacific University and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009.

A little known fact about Alissa is that she was a ballet dancer for many years, but never liked wearing the tutu. Alissa enjoys riding and competing with horses, hiking, hunting, and spending time with her new puppy.

Erin Nelson, PTA Erin Nelson, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Erin Nelson, PTA, grew up in Portland and Clackamas, OR graduating from Clackamas High School in 2000. In 2006 Erin graduated from Portland State University earinging a BS in Health Sciences in 2006. Erin gratuated from Mt. Hood Community College earning her Associates of Applied Sciences in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2010. Erin enjoys running, soccer, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Erin is a member of both the American Physical Therapy Association and Oregon Physical Therapy Association. A little known fact about Erin is that she participated in a program featured on Comedy Central.

Bryce Gillespie, ATCEmily Falk, ATC

Certified Athletic Trainer
Head Athletic Trainer, Mt. Hood Community College

Emily Falk, ATC, grew up in West Linn, OR and graduated from West Linn High School in 2003. She attended Brigham Young University where she graduated in 2009 with her B.S. in Athletic Training. She continued on at Brigham Young University as an athletic trainer intern and finished her M.S. in Exercise Science, emphasis in Athletic Training, in 2011. She is now the head Athletic Trainer at Mt. Hood Community College.

Emily loves to play soccer and enjoys being outside hiking, camping, and rocking climbing with friends and family.
