Physical Therapist, Owner
Glen Akers, PT is a physical therapist and clinic owner/director of our ProActive - Gresham location. He completed his undergraduate degree at Oregon State University and his Master of Physical Therapy degree from at Texas Tech University.
Glen is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine. His areas of specialization include ASTYM, TMJ/TMD dysfunction, work conditioning, physical/functional capacity evaluations, and industrial rehabilitation. Outside of his work as a physical therapist, he enjoys cycling, baseball, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Alissa Cameron, PT, DPT
Alissa Cameron, PT is a physical therapist in our ProActive - Gresham location. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Portland and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University.
Alissa's areas of specialization include orthopedics, the female athlete, and strain-counterstrain. Her areas of interest include sports physical therapy, ACL injury prevention, and chronic pain. Outside of her work as a physical therapist, she enjoys competing in the equestrian sport of eventing, spending time outdoors with her husband, cooking and gardening.
Taylor Nicks, PT
Taylor Nicks, PT earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Portland and his Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Taylor specializes in pediatrics and has special interests in sports rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation. Outside of his work as a physical therapist Taylor enjoys playing tennis, basketball, teaching martial arts, and being outdoors fishing and hiking.
Jenny Curtis, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Jenny Curtis, PTA is a physical therapist assistant at our ProActive - Gresham location. She graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in physical therapy. Jenny's areas of interest include work conditioning, orthopedics, cupping, balance disorders, and geriatric conditioning. Jenny is Graston Technique certified. Outside of her work as a physical therapist assistant, Jenny enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, going on cruises, scuba diving, and spending time with her husband and dog.
