Ryan practices the ASTYM (augmented soft tissue mobilization) system to treat chronic as well as acute pain/dysfunction disorders and has had very much success with this treatment providing relief to some patients that have had problems for more than 30 years. This treatment has provided valuable for his injured workers, athletes, and many others who have been unable to engage in their recreational activities. Ryan has been trained in the McKenzie approach to treating spinal disorders and uses this technique when appropriate to improve pain/dysfunction.
In Ryan's spare time he really enjoys hiking, golfing, backpacking, travel, and outdoor activities. He is from the quaint town of Joseph, Oregon liked to a "small Swiss village" of where he discovered his love for exercise and the outdoors. Ryan attended Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR for his Bachelor of Science degree and is a Beaver Believer but does appreciate healthy conversation with Ducks, Huskies, and Cougar fans. Ryan would encourage any patient to come into Proactive if they are having pain or limitation with their daily, work, or recreational activities.
